Full Time Position
A. Vegetable Garden Coach and Gardener:
Primary roles:
Work as a personal vegetable gardener to private residential gardens
Manage a few St. Louis region mini-farms for restaurant clients
Ideal candidate can:
Bring experience with vegetable growing, plant succession, fertilization, problem solving and pest & disease management
A solid foundation for growing and managing all of the common vegetable crops
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
Most clients are very curious and excited about their garden. The right fit for this role will enjoy educating clients about the garden’s progress
Assist clients in developing a garden plan each year
Manage and implement all aspects of their veggie garden
Planting, trellising, harvesting, fertilizing, pest and disease management
Procure necessary plants and seeds
Procure necessary tools from CF inventory (ie; insect netting that can be taken to client)
Communicate garden visits with clients
B. Maintenance Crew for Edible Landscapes: Trees, Shrubs & Perennials
Ideal candidate can:
Demonstrate knowledge of edible woodies and perennial plants
Demonstrate knowledge of native plants
Communicate with maintenance clients to get them scheduled and understand their upcoming needs
Provide maintenance for clients that have an edible landscape
Annual mulching
Cutting back of plants
Trellising
Pruning
Landscape enhancements such as edging, paver, new planters, fencing, invasive removal
Suggest new new plants to fill in the existing landscape
Occasional propagation to expand existing landscape
Fertilizing low vigor plants
Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to lift 50+ pounds
Ability and willingness to work outside in the elements
A willingness to learn from multiple team members and jump in where needed is ideal

Compensation for full time hours:
$22-$29 / hour depending on experience.
